MAID CAFE PLEASE?

ok. so starting off, it has always been my DREAM. my DREAM. to work at a maid caf. or a cosplay caf. and a kyabakura or a hostess club.

ANYWAY. So i was thinking our club could host a maid/cosplay/butler cafe one day as an event! Like so us as the anime club could make foods, serve customers in the cafe for a day and like use this as a fundraiser for our club as well!

You all are attractive, nice, sweet, sexy, amazing. but u can choose whether u wanna be the cooks or the servers.

I would wanna be a maid I want practice LOL. I wanna be good at this by the time i get to japan

This is rather pretty ambitious though if all the formal matters are sorted out (dealing with lunch periods, social and financial consequences, approval of principal and teachers and such) then why not.

But there is a big problem...and that is costumes (assuming we do get enough maids/butlers to serve. There will be plenty of chefs). Maid costumes do not come cheap...

And one more. Our food menu...though I'll wait for more people or admins before discussing more in this awesome thread thought of in the chatbox....

And and we could also makes this into a fund raiser for generally what's current at the time! :'D

I'm interested in having a maid cafe. 8DDD
but there are many factors to consider, as mentioned by Firaga777 earlier.

To add on to his concerns:
Food cannot be sold during school hours and the school board has new rules regarding the sale of food on school property (ex. there is now a rule regarding the maximum # of bake sales allowed per semester. I believe it is 3), so it might be a little hard to work around that.

There is also the issue of the location and time.

Is there a niche market for a maid cafe? Rather, is the niche market large enough? If this is a fundraiser, will it be profitable? (That taken into account, I feel that this would be better off as an interest event vs a fundraiser. Perhaps we could have a more general fundraiser with a larger target market in order to fund a cafe for the enjoyment of the anime club?)

I know I'm sounding a little pessimistic, but I really am for the idea of a maid cafe or cosplay cafe.

If it helps any, I can buy maid uniforms as low as $25 (if we go cheap) but the better ones are around $50. It will get cheaper or more expensive depending on the certain uniform and also the number of buyers (for reduced shipping). If there is any interest, or if this idea is put forth, I would love to help in any way.

i totally wanna try it out! >w< i always wanted to try and be a maid =D but i agree, this will take lots of planning especially with schedules and food and where to have it. but lets try to sort it all out! =D

First of all, I suggest that we actually call it to a vote next meeting, so that we can get an idea of how many people we have to work with.

We don't even know how many of the 63 members are loyal to the club...

well this is Canada, where maid outfits aren't the fetish unless unecessary revealing of skin is involved, so this is will be very interesting to see the reactions of non-anime fans whether they don't mind or recieve it well or not.

oh....I'm pretty sure most of the guy's would like girls in dresses..

As awesome of an idea this is, I have to agree with Meki and Firaga.

The bake sale ban has be lifted, because apparently it starts September 2011. So sell food all the way kiddies, while you still can~ 8D

Unfortunately, first of all, this can only be done after school.
As a fundraiser, there isn't really a market to sell to. Because as sexy as girls in dresses are, our school, I don't think, is really in to that.
Plus, our school's cheap, the amount we charge wouldn't even be able to cover the cost of our expenses. XD
I do agree this could work as a kind of interest event for our club members. We can all get together after school one day, dress up, make food, serve each other, kinda like a party. And we'd have to fundraise for that. In fact, it could be kind of like the end of the year party for our club or something, I think it'd be fun.

That's just my opinion though, so if you guys think it could work, I'm all for helping out. =D

yea your probably right....damn us asians and our cheapness.... but it would be fun to serve it amongst ourselves still =D
